From Academia to Agriculture
Our first stop is in a less known village at the heart of the Commandaria region…
We’ll meet a retired professor who spent years teaching abroad before returning home.
He now spends his days cultivating the lands of his ancestors and caring for their olive groves, which are centuries old.
We’ll learn about his journey and savor the extra virgin olive oil pressed from his family’s millennial trees.
A private tour of the local Commandaria Museum awaits, enriched with his passionate stories, ending with a tasting of his own local products.
- Encounter and storytelling
- Private visit of the Commandaria Museum with local producer & tasting
02
The Amazing Women of Laneia
Next up, Laneia, a picturesque village with cobbled alleys, blooming courtyards, and strong women who keep its soul alive.
If possible, we’ll meet one of the village women and hear stories of how they give life and color to the village.
- Walk in Laneia village and possible meet-up
03
Commandaria Stories and Food
We will continue our journey to a small, soulful winery hidden in a cozy village. Nicholas will greet us like an old friend welcoming us home.
His cellar is small but full of heart.
We’ll sip Commandaria and then share a comforting village-style lunch cooked in the traditional wood oven.
More than a meal, it’s a feast of stories, traditions, and togetherness.
- Winery visit, storytelling and Commandaria tasting
- Wood-oven lunch and local culinary experience

Drive Back
With hearts full from the stories we’ve heard and the people we’ve met, we’ll make our way back. Today was about more than places…It was about the warmth of those who welcomed us like old friends.
