Are you a foodie who wants to explore Lebanon through its flavors and culinary experiences.. Then this trip is for you!
Over 9 days, we’ll eat, cook, and connect with people from all over Lebanon. We will learn more about Lebanon’s stories through its food and people.
From breakfast at local bakeries to rolling vine leaves with a Lebanese Teta (grandmother) to preparing food in a family kitchen or gathering around a village table for a meal cooked with love, it’s about experiencing Lebanon through its heritage. 
We’ll also stay in guesthouses that feel like home, walk through old towns, taste zaatar in the fields, make sfiha in the souk, and share meals and stories with local hosts.

Day 1: Arrival Day

Accommodation: Heritage accommodation or guesthouse in Gemmayzeh (Beirut)
Activities:

  • Airport pickup and check-in at a heritage accommodation
  • Optional Beirut street food tasting (depending on arrival time)
  • Welcome dinner at a local Beirut restaurant (intro to Lebanese mezza & grills)

Day 2: Flavors of Beirut: Stories, Streets & Shared Tables

Accommodation: Heritage accommodation in Gemmayzeh (Beirut)
Activities:

  • Traditional Breakfast
  • Morning walk in Hamra & coffee
  • The Zaatar Experience (Stories of Zaatar and zaatar tasting)
  • Walk in Gemmayzeh street and Saifi area
  • Lunch prepared by women at a kitchen rooted in heritage, culture, and community
  • Historical Beirut tour
  • Taste (our favorite) authentic Lebanese ice cream
  • Cook and dine with a local host in her home

Day 3: Wine, Sweets & Mountains

Accommodation: Guesthouse in Mount Lebanon
Activities:

  • Lebanese Breakfast
  • Traditional Lebanese sweets workshop with Amal in her home in a small village of Metn, featuring maamoul and more
  • Vineyard village stories and wine tasting at a family-run micro winery with home-cooked lunch in a village of Kesrouan district
  • Jeita Grotto visit
  • Optional: Stop at our lady of Harissa for our favorite mediterranean view in Lebanon over the Bay of Jounieh
  • Check-in at guesthouse
  • Dinner prepared by host

Day 4: Tales & Tastes of Village Life & Olive Culture

Accommodation: Guesthouse in Mount Lebanon
Activities:

  • Breakfast at guesthouse and relaxed morning
  • Walk in the old town of Byblos
  • Trying Batroun’s famous Lemonade
  • Lunch at Tante Jamal’s home, featuring her traditional Maacroun b Toum, prepared together before the meal
  • Visit to Douma Souks
  • Olive Cultural Heritage Tour

Day 5: For The Love of Kebbeh

Accommodation: Guesthouse around Ehden
Activities:

  • Early breakfast and checkout
  • Tripoli visit to experience the unmatched richness of traditional Lebanese sweets, from historic brands to hidden neighborhood favorites
  • Home-style lunch with Georgina including a traditional Zgharta-style kebbeh-making session
  • Check-in at Guesthouse
  • Meet a local expert and learn about arak, Lebanon’s traditional anise-flavored alcoholic spirit, with a small-batch tasting
  • Evening walk around in the center and enjoy the local popular Sahlab dessert at the Midan Square

  • Breakfast and checkout from Ehden
  • Walk at the forest of Cedars of God
  • Sfiha tasting in Baalbek’s bustling local souk, where this region’s local specialty is baked fresh before our eyes
  • Optional visit to Baalbek Temples
  • Tannour-style midday meal with freshly baked bread & man’oucheh prepared the traditional way in a clay oven
  • Check-in at agrotourism
  • Mouneh-making session: a hands-on introduction to Lebanon’s ancestral preservation techniques, with ingredients and recipes depending on the season, such as jams, pickles, or zaatar blends.
  • Optional visit to a micro-winery and tasting of Wine & Arak with the wine maker

Day 7: Bread, Cedars & Dairy Heritage

Accommodation: Heritage accommodation in Chouf
Activities:

  • Breakfast and checkout from Bekaa
  • A taste of Lebanon’s dairy heritage: traditional labneh making insights
  • Traditional lunch showcasing local flavors and homemade recipes by a local host
  • Walk at Maasser el Chouf Cedars Reserve
  • Saj-making session: join a local village grandma to roll, bake, and enjoy freshly made Lebanese flatbread with classic toppings
  • Check-in at accommodation in Chouf

Day 8: Savoring the Last Bites & Local Wisdom
