Ready for a southern escape that mixes coastal tradition with mountain beauty?

Our day starts in Saida with one of the best (if not the best) knefeh out there. Then we’ll wander through Saida’s old souks, where narrow alleyways, spice shops, and soap scents tell stories of centuries past.
After that, we’ll head up into the hills toward Jezzine for a relaxed Lebanese lunch with fresh air, pine trees, and valley views. We’ll explore the town, visit its famous waterfall, and discover its unique handcrafted knives.

We’ll wrap up the day with a visit to the breathtaking Niha Fortress before heading back to Beirut.

Tour Plan

01

Knefeh Stop

Our favorite way to start a day in Saida: a warm, melty knefeh from one of the city’s best sweet shops. Lebanese knefeh is a warm dessert made with stretchy cheese with a golden semolina crust, and soaked in sweet syrup, all tucked into a soft sesame kaak bread to create the ultimate Lebanese breakfast sandwich.

  • Traditional Knefeh
02

Old Town Visit

This is where Saida’s magic lives. We’ll stroll through Saida’s old souk, stop by the beautifully restored Khan El Franj, visit a local soap museum, and finish with a stop at the Sea Citadel.

  • Soap museum tour
  • Visits of landmark buildings in the oldtown
  • Visit to the Sea Citadel
03

Lunch in Jezzine

Choose your lunch setting: A restaurant sitting over Jezzine’s waterfall with a beautiful view or a restaurant tucked in the middle of Bkassine’s pine forest. Either way, you’ll enjoy traditional Lebanese flavors.

  • Lunch not included in price (à la carte)
04

Explore Jezzine

We’ll take a walk around this charming mountain town, enjoy the waterfall, stroll its pretty streets, and learn about Jezzine’s unique tradition of handcrafted knives.

  • Jezzine town visit
05

Niha Fortress

One last less known gem. We’ll stop by Niha Fortress; perched dramatically on rugged cliffs, the fortress itself no longer stands, but the site is a magical natural setting. Ancient rocks and stunning views create a timeless atmosphere that feels like stepping into history.

  • Niha fortress
06

Drive Back to Beirut

After a day that mixed ancient stones and mountain air, we’ll make our way back to Beirut.
